PROJECTS
My projects are inspired by shapes, colors, familiar things and new discoveries.
The design process begins with an idea or vision. Sketches, models, material studies, and experiments are all part of this process and lay the foundation for further work. Developing a prototype makes the idea three-dimensional and tangible, and although seeing it is often enjoyable, the prototype forms the basis for further visual and functional development. Only when it is flawless in appearance and functionality is the design object developed using the chosen materials.
A design piece requires a great deal of attention and craftsmanship, as it must be visually appealing and functional for my work. The development process doesn't tolerate spontaneous reactions or hasty decisions. Every single detail of a piece of furniture needs to be carefully considered. Ultimately, it is precisely these details that impress.
